Conclusiones.

De los fallecidos en el Cardiocentro la mitad estuvieron relacionados con la actividad quirúrgica, teniendo la sepsis un papel importante como cauda directa de muerte. El porciento de necropsias en esta subdirección fue alto y fundamentalmente en el servicio de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCICCV). La CCP fue excelente.

En la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCICCV) los indicadores estadísticos de calidad estuvieron acordes con lo establecido para este tipo de servicio, con fluctuaciones en algunos meses del año.

Los pacientes operados de bypass aorto-coronario o combinados tuvieron las tasas de mortalidad más elevadas y coincidieron con los puntajes de riesgo prequirúrgico elevados o muy elevados mostrando en este tipo de pacientes una mayor capacidad predictiva dicho score.

Las principales causas directas e intermedias de muerte fueron el Shock con sus diferentes variantes y la Falla Múltiple de Órganos; la principal causa básica la ateroesclerosis coronaria y la principal causa contribuyente la sepsis y el IMAP.
